Climbing at Ax

Duration : From 9.00 am to nightfall, or just one session....

'Mix and match' to discover the most beautiful sites of the valley. Try out different types of climbing style for all levels. Depending on age and motivation, climb a little, a lot or madly.

Technical informations :
1, 2 or 3 varied sessions per day. Morning (9am-12am)at the beginner's site near the swimming pool at Ax: learn how to belay and enjoy easy climbs of up to 30m. Afternoon (2pm-5pm)at bouldering site in a shady forest at Orlu: practicing moves on large boulders without a rope lets you try a more gymnastic style of climbing. Evening (6pm-nightfall)at Entreserre: more technical climbing in spectacular scenary; watch the sun set over the valley.

Meeting place :
Morning: 9am at the beginner's site at Ax. Take the direction of Andorra and turn left before leaving Ax (signpost 'Rocher d'escalade'). The car park is behind the swimming pool. Afternoon: 2pm at the restaurant 'Relais Montagnard' at Orlu - 10 minutes from Ax. Evening:6.30pm at Orgeix, behind the church, 5 minutes from Ax.
